Black Powder Cylinder Loader

“Finally…an easy to use tool that loads black powder from the smallest Colt revolver to the biggest horse pistols and more w/optional wad cutter!”
- A Real Pistol Packin’ Pardner -
The idea of partially disassembling revolvers for loading purposes has been with us since the conception of the revolving cylinder repeating firearm.
On February 25, 1836 Samuel Colts revolver obtained patents for his designs in the United States, France, and England. The Colt Paterson gave birth to the first marketable repeating firearm.
As it was originally designed and produced there was no loading lever included. The user had to disassemble the revolver partially to re-load it.
Today, the idea of loading black powder revolver cylinders off the frame is gaining new merit amongst both recreational and competitive shooters alike.
Typically a roundball is used for the ammunition. The roundball, however, is not the only choice of projectiles for these revolvers and more shooters have turned to using conical bullets instead and with good reason.
The problem is that in most cases there simply isn’t enough clearance between the frame and the cylinder to allow loading conical bullets into the revolver without taking the risk of improperly seating the bullet in the cylinder chamber. The results of this condition are less then optimal when trying to take advantage of the improved flight characteristics of a conical bullet.
Hand-loaders have long known that reloading their own ammunition was a huge step towards increasing the accuracy of their firearms. By paying close attention to what type and how much powder they used, they could obtain more accurate down-range results.
Reloading presses are designed to give a repeatable loading method once the optimum combination of bullet and powder has been achieved.
The Triple P Loader (patent pending) uses a unique compound lever system which provides a powerful and consistent loading method. Once you’ve determined what powder charge works best with your particular firearm, the Triple P will load your choice of projectile to precisely the same depth each time that the loading lever is lowered.
Using the Triple P loader also saves your firearm from the stresses involved in loading the cylinder while it is in the frame.
Each Triple P Loader comes with 5 cylinder arbors, 3 seating jags, and a powder funnel. An optional wad cutting attachment in your choice of caliber is also available.
